Boosting Roma Youth Employment

Our member organization Nevo Parudimos association have implemented the project Boosting Roma Youth Employment – B.R.Y.E. E+ KA105, with the contract 2017-2-SK02-KA105-001366
The project Boosting Roma Youth Employment tackled the issue of youth employment by improving the capabilities of career professionals and young job-seekers both:
– improving the experience and knowledge of the youth workers, social workers and other types of staff that work with youngsters in the employment and career guidance sector;
– providing opportunities for youngsters to experience and discover what it means to have a certain career, to help them decide which is the right way for them from a early stage (14-19 years old); and at the same time to help them face an interview and help them to present their competencies in the best possible way (20-30 years old).
The project objectives were:
The main goal of the project was to systematically challenge the youth unemployment.
The general objectives were:
– To develop the cooperation between 6 youth NGO’s from 6 European countries
– To understand better the situation of youth unemployment in Europe
– To develop the cooperation and youth participation to fight unemployment between young people
– To promote non-formal education and practical life learning for 150 young people
– To promote tolerance and understanding between 150 young people

Activities:
1.) Activity: Mobility of Youth Workers: Training for Professional Career Councelling implemented in 23-30.09.2017 in Valaská-Piesok, Slovakia
2.) Activity: Youth Exchange: Choice Is Yours! implemented in 23-30.10.2017 in Milcoveni in Romania
3.)Activity: Youth Exchange: Start & Succeed! implemented in 13-21.04.2018 in Milcoveni Romania
The project involved 30 participants for the training and 60 young people plus 12 group leaders for each of the youth exchanges having as main result an increased capacity of those 15 participants to the labour market.
