A doua întâlnire anuală a rețelei ROMA FORUM s-a derulat cu invitați de seamă

The Nevo Parudimos Association organized the second work meeting of the ROMA FORUM network. The meeting took place during the 4-5 December, at the Tei Students’ Sports Cultural Complex in Bucharest.
The following people were present at the meeting: the delegated minister for European affairs, Victor Negrescu, the president of the Roma National Agency, Daniel Radulescu, a deputy representative of Roma minorities in the Romanian Parliament, Daniel Vasile and the sociology researcher Ciprian Necula. Besides these personalities, other representatives of the Roma civil society were also present, from all over the country. The novelty of this meeting was that for the first time Christian Roma organisations representative also participated in large numbers.
The subjects discussed during the meeting were:
– Romanian Presidency of the European Union Council – the Roma problems on the social agenda of the European Union;
– A strategic analysis to improve Roma situation – the stage of its implementation;
– The analysis of available opportunities for Roma NGOs;
– The presentation of the LEADER, Erasmus+ and Europe for Citizens programs;
– The planning of the ROMA FORUM future activities;
The meeting was organized as part of the strategic partnership between the Nevo Parudimos Association and ERGO Network.
The Roma FORUM network proposed to offer a space for debate and analysis referring to existent Roma politics. Roma FORUM represents a network of Roma organisations, activists and Roma researchers who desire to contribute to the improvement of public politics for Roma people.
