Think ”Eco-Logical”! We are looking for participants for a youth exchange in Serbia
Nevo Parudimos Association is looking for 5 participants and one group leader for an youth exchange that will take place in Serbia and is implemented by “Omladinska organizacija IFIX:” from Ada, Serbia in cooperation with its partners and is responsible for organization, administration and logistics of the exchange in Ada, Serbia.
Objectives:
– exchange of good practices in creative recycling;
– finding solutions for the environmental problems, by using art and design as main tools;
– recycling as the art of an inter cultural instrument of learning and social inclusion for youngsters;
– creating sustainable, eco-friendly and resource saving environment
At the end of the project the participants will be capable to:
-to make the youngsters to think in a conscious way about sustainability and go to actions
-to give them the opportunity to share best practices, find new techniques and learn together in an intercultural environment
-to develop youngsters organizing, coaching and mentoring skills inspired by other cultures
-to encourage intercultural learning by creative art
-to develop the confidence and to increase the self-esteem of the participants form the local level and the international participants using non-formal methods
– developing eco-friendly and resource saving communities
The project is based on non-formal education as the main method of the exchange. The daily activities will include workshops (with plastic, paper, silk, tetra pack boxes etc.), the working teams will be small and big depending on the activities, and at the end of each day there will be the evaluation of the day.
All this activities are aimed to increase the cultural conscience of each participant, using art and design, to increase the self evaluation of the youngsters regarding how they evolved during this project. The main aim will be focused on how will the participants carry this experience in their own country, creating and helping others to create recycling workshops for disadvantaged youngsters, teaching them how to create something out of nothing.
The participants have to come from different economic and social backgrounds and have to be between the age of 17 and 25 (5 participant+ 1 team leader-no age limit)
The project will take place in Ada, Serbia between 8th to 14th of June 2019.
The Youth Exchange will be hosted in Hubertus Hostel 25 minutes from the center of the city.
