CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE regarding the inclusivity of people with disabilities in Erasmus+ activities
Representatives of Nevo Parudimos Association have taken part in the training course “CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE II” which took place in Gánt (Hungary) between 19. and 28 August 2021, project implemented by Co-Efficient Association Hungary.
This project has been created by the desire to raise awareness regarding the situation about inclusivity of people living with disabilities in Erasmus+ activities. After this training course, the participants are able to assess needs of people living with disabilities in the context of international youth programmes. They are more able to organize barrier-free environment regarding both infrastructure and programme, have more knowledge regarding the topic and be more skillful regarding inclusion.
The aim of the training was to launch an integrated community-building activity in each partner country helped by the participation of the involved disabled and non-disabled young people. This training course was aimed at helping the participants to develop a constant activity in their own local communities, based on the volunteering experience and in the spirit of the Independent Living Movement.
During the 8 days of the training, the participants acquired knowledge, skills and competences that will further help them launch their own initiatives based on the spirit of independent living movement in their local community.
The program of the training focused on self-knowledge, helping/assisting profession, social roles, active participation, volunteering and independent life, while the participants’ social competences, tolerance, sensitivity, assertiveness, communication skills and tools, time, stress and project management knowledge was improved.
