Between March 2018 – February 2020 the Nevo Parudimos Association will implement together with 8 international partners the European volunteering project “Volunteering and education for civic involvement”, funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus + program, Key Action 1, Youth Mobility contract number 2017 -3-RO01-KA105-046973.

The project consists of hosting 2 consecutive tours of 5 international volunteers each, which will carry out activities to prevent school dropout in schools in Reșița, promote volunteerism and civic involvement among the young people of the city, and will support disadvantaged communities through events and activities designed to make them aware of their situation and help them.

The first tour of 5 volunteers, consisting of participants from Belgium, Italy, Spain and Finland, will arrive in Resita at the beginning of April and will remain in the city for one year, until the next tour will take over their activities.

The project aims to prevent school dropout and promote volunteering and civic involvement in the city of Resita


Development of the local volunteer group Nevo Parudimos;
– Increasing the visibility of voluntary work and civic activities in Reșița during the project;
– Developing the skills of the 10 volunteers during the project to be more competitive on the labor market;
– Enhancing the experience of the 10 volunteers on how to develop new projects that involve local communities;
– To develop activities that prevent school dropout in schools in Reșița.

The project activities will be:

  • Activities of non-formal education and prevention of school dropout in schools in Mociur and Dealu Mare in Resita city
  • Activities to promote volunteering and civic involvement of young people from Reșița city
  • Foreign language learning activities and promoting interculturality, tolerance and understanding among young people from Reșița city
  • Activities designed to increase the degree of participation of young people in the decision-making process in the city resita
  • Mentoring activities and language courses offered to foreign volunteers who will participate in this project
  • Mentoring course for 10 teachers from Resita city in partnership with Caras Severin Teaching Staff House

The maximum budget of the project can reach 72935 euros.
