From strategy to prototype: EU PLAYER advances through testing the Educational EU Board Game

On 9–10 February 2026, Nevo Parudimos participated in the transnational management meeting held in Dublin, Ireland, within the framework of the EU PLAYER project. The meeting brought together partner organisations to review progress, assess interim results, and coordinate the next stages of implementation at European level.
A key highlight of the meeting was the testing of the first prototype of the educational board game developed under the project. Partners evaluated the game structure, interaction dynamics, educational content, and pedagogical impact, providing structured feedback to refine and improve the final version. This testing phase represents a crucial step in ensuring the quality, relevance, and effectiveness of the educational tool designed for young people.
The EU PLAYER project aims to develop an educational board game about the European Union, offering young people an innovative opportunity to deepen their understanding of EU values, institutions, and democratic processes through game-based learning and gamification methodologies. The initiative seeks to transform civic education into an interactive and engaging experience, fostering higher levels of participation, critical thinking, and responsibility among youth.
Each partner organisation contributes to piloting and implementing the game in schools and youth centres at local level, facilitating access to modern civic education for thousands of young people. During the Dublin meeting, partners also coordinated the organisational details for the upcoming international training session for youth workers, scheduled for the following month.
The project is implemented between 01.12.2024 and 30.11.2027 and is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme, strengthening international cooperation in the youth sector and promoting innovative educational approaches across Europe.
