Nevo Parudimos Association implements the ESC30-SOL – Solidarity projects – EDUROM project between 01.01 – 31.12.2023, an initiative that aims to improve and change the way young Roma from the city of Reșita have access to education and youth opportunities.

This project supports the increase in the level of information of young Roma people as well as their motivation to continue their studies. In this sense, as part of this initiative, we have organized an information campaign at the level of the city of Reșita, in which young people in the eighth and twelfth grades, belonging to the Roma ethnic group, can learn about the opportunities they have to enroll in special places in high schools and universities.

The objectives of the EDUROM project are:

• increasing the level of information of Roma youth from marginalized communities in Reșita regarding the educational services and offers intended for them;
• increasing the level of integration of people from marginalized communities in Reșita who have abandoned or who have never attended a form of education in the educational system intended for them;
• decreasing the school dropout rate among Roma people from marginalized communities in Reșita;
• empowering marginalized communities in Reșita and promoting social inclusion;
• increasing the level of education among Roma people from marginalized communities in Reșita in order to be more easily integrated into the labor market and to become active citizens.

The project’s activities focus on information campaigns and community visits, scheduled meetings to discuss topics of interest and cover the needs underlying this project.
