During 2014-2015, the Nevo Parudimos association from Resita, as a local partner in Romania, implements the project “Read and don’t forget – The Genocide of the Roma – Part of European History”.
The objective of this project is to sensitize the population on the Roma Genocide and to stimulate debate and critical thinking on this topic. The project offers young people the opportunity to meet survivors and learn about their experiences in order to learn from the past and develop a sense of active ownership of common European values.

Training course in the field of working methods “LIVING LIBRARY”
National events in the “LIVING LIBRARY” partner countries
Local campaigns in partner countries to draw attention to the Roma Genocide
Creation of National and International networks
International dissemination conference
In Romania, the activities of our project are:
Workshop – Roma Genocide – Part of European History
The organization of the painting exhibition Look and don’t forget – The Genocide of the Roma – Part of European History, an exhibition made with works by 10 young artists of the Sabin Pauta art high school in Resita
In the oil painting exhibition, you can see the works of the artists: Aoki Lia, Balica Cosmina, Bîlcă Antonia, Boșneac Alys, Botșanu Alexandru, Garoiu Cristian, Ilie Dariana, Ivancea Amira, Magheț Patricia, Vasilescu Ioana who were guided by teachers Anita STRÎMBU and Adrian GAROIU.
The organization of the violin recital Listen and don’t forget – The Genocide of the Roma – Part of European History, a recital performed by the young artists of the Sabin Pauta art high school in Resita
The living library – Listen and don’t forget – The Genocide of the Roma – Part of European History, an event organized with the participation of some survivors of the deportation of the Roma in Transnistria
