Nevo Parudimos Association implements between 01.06.2022- 31.05.2023 the Erasmus+ “ROMActive” youth project, which has as main activity a youth exchange with 45 participants that will take place on 02-09.12.2022 in Brebu, Romania.
Through this project we try to motivate young people from the 5 partner countries to be active in society and to participate on the decision-making process in terms of what concerns them. At local level, in each partner country, statistics show that in general young people do not participate in voting or other decision-making processes at the community level.
This phenomenon is even more aggravated among young Roma, especially among those who come from very poor communities with limited access to information. Thus, the general goal of this project is to increase the participation of young Roma in the decision-making process, at the local, national and European level.
Our objectives are:
- Encouraging a dialogue between the 40 participants from 5 European countries and local decision-makers for a better understanding of the voting and active participation process;
- The development of civic spirit among the 40 young people
- Increasing the knowledge of 40 young Roma and non-Roma about the importance of voting
- Creating a learning dimension about state institutions and how they are interconnected, for the 40 young Roma and non-Roma
