Implementation period: 01.01.2024 – 31.12.2024
The Transnational United Network in Europe (TUNE) project continues in 2024 as a strategic initiative aimed at fostering the active engagement of young people in the democratic life of the European Union. TUNE addresses the objectives and priorities of the Erasmus+ programme by promoting social inclusion, diversity, civic participation, digital transformation, and environmental responsibility. At the same time, the project aligns with the EU Youth Strategy and seeks to implement concrete activities that support youth participation in decision-making processes, especially in the context of the European elections.
Main activities
The project includes a range of activities targeting both young people and youth workers, with a strong focus on their engagement in European democratic processes. A key component is the advocacy training held in Brussels, where 18 young participants, together with trainers and policy-makers, will have the opportunity to better understand the workings of EU institutions. In preparation for this event, more than 360 young people across the partner network will be consulted to gather questions, opinions, and recommendations aimed at fostering structured dialogue between youth and institutional representatives.
Following this, the project will implement an online campaign to inform and mobilize young people in the lead-up to the European elections, with a focus on encouraging democratic participation. This will be complemented by an online training session on the use of digital tools for e-participation, addressed to youth workers and project managers from the partner organizations.
Another important result will be the creation of a digital guide containing best practices for democratic participation tools, which will be disseminated to at least 200 relevant youth organizations and stakeholders. Each project partner will also organize local follow-up activities to directly engage young people in their communities, thus multiplying the project’s impact at the local level.
Results and impact
TUNE 2024 aims to improve young people’s access to European decision-making processes and to strengthen cooperation among youth organizations across Europe. Through training, awareness campaigns, and local activities, the project supports the development of a more informed, engaged, and civically active generation of young Europeans. Furthermore, TUNE promotes the use of digital tools as effective means for democratic participation, contributing to the modernization of dialogue mechanisms between youth and public institutions.
The project is funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme.
