Roma transition, from education to employment. The Nevo Parudimos Association at the 9th meeting of the European Platform for Roma

The Nevo Parudimos Association, represented by the project manager Daniel Grebeldinger, took part during the period 27-28 November, in the 9th meeting of the European Platform for Roma inclusion.
The Brussels meeting started during the 27 November afternoons, with two parallel workshops. Both aim the transition from education to employment and the section in which Daniel Grebeldinger participated referred to aspect of employment that prevent young Roma to cross from education to an inclusion on the labour market. The objective of the workshop was to establish a set of key messages for decision factors.
The presentation prepared by Daniel Grebeldinger covered different aspects of difficulties met by young Roma when crossing from education to employment: discrimination, the functioning of public services of labour force occupation, the alignment of professional training systems to the needs of the labour market, the informing of employees in order to promote diversity at the working place and the viability of work for Roma young people.
