Training International Leadership+
The Nevo Parudimos Association, represented by two youth workers, Laura and Alex, took part in the European Training Program “Leadership+”, in Portugal, from 3 till 10 November.
This training involved 34 from different countries (Portugal, Estonia, Romania, Spain Bulgaria, Turkey, Hungary, Greece, Lithuania, Poland and Slovenia). This international program belongs to the Erasmus+ program, financed by the European Union.
The project “Leadership+” represents an answer for the needs signalled by leaders of NGOs to help them find the appropriate models to motivate active participate of youth in youth exchanges and local activities.
The main idea was to find a form of motivation, where the leader was neither a teacher nor a mentor, where leaders played the role of facilitators that knew how to get involved and motivate young people.
The training methodology was based on non-formal education and on a holistic approach. Participants developed competences through non-formal methods, as brainstorming, team work, stimulation, role play, group talks, free space for reflection and other methods trainers adapted to the participants’ needs.
