Manuals from the “Understanding Europe” Project were presented to Resita students
The “Eftimie Murgu” University of Resita hosted on the 17th of April the dissemination event for the manuals “Understanding Romania” and “Understanding Europe”, part of the strategic project “Understanding Europe”. In this project, the Nevo Parudimos Association from Resita is the Romanian partner, together with Poleski Osrodek Sztuki, Poland, Hamburger Volkshochschule, Germany, EU Warehouse, Belgium, Sprachendienst Konstanz, Germany, Bulgarian Development Agency, Bulgaria, the project coordinator being VHS Wien (the School for Adult Education from Wien).
The manual “Understanding Romania” present Romania in a few pages, divided into 4 chapters, each chapter also containing a teaching method for the information presented, in Romanian, using non-formal education. The manual was created by Laura Turcu, project manager at the Nevo Parudimos Association and is destined to all actors involved in teaching Romanian to migrants and especially to refugees.
The manual “Understanding Europe” offers a portrait of the continent, also structured into 4 chapters, each followed by teaching methods, especially created for migrants, for refugees, who can better understand the place where they arrived, how do the mechanisms of the European Union work and what can this continent offer them. The manual was created in this project by teachers and trainers in the domain of adult education from Germany and Austria.
At the event hosted by the “Eftimie Murgu” University of Resita, students from the Pedagogy for Primary and Pre-school levels were presents, together with didactic staff specialized in teaching Romanian.
The project is co-financed by the Erasmus+ Program of the European Commission, Key Action 2, strategic partnerships in the domain of adult education.
