The Nevo Parudimos Association, together with the 10 partners in the project “New solutions to old problems – exchange of new types of approaches in the field of Roma integration” started today the “Project Market”. A number of 11 Roma and pro-Roma organizations from the ERGO network will share, for two days, their best practices of Roma inclusion and empowerment projects and will “bid” each other to implement similar projects in their own communities.

The event is an exchange of experience among Roma civil society and shows the positive impact that such approaches can have on Roma inclusion, empowerment and combating anti-gypsysm.

The two-day project (April 21-22) brings together guests from many international organizations, embassies and civil society partner organizations, including the EEA and Norway Grants, EU Justice and Consumers, the Norwegian Embassy, Tom Lantos Institute, ERSTE Foundation, Zentralrat Deutscher Sinti und Roma, Hildegard Lagrenne Stiftung.

During the two days, all project partners will identify and present up to 3 local best practices from their work on Roma inclusion and empowerment.

These will be presented to the other consortium partners and then widely promoted in a social campaign, as well as in an online and offline “good practice catalog” to inspire other organizations and raise awareness of the positive impact on which may have initiatives for the Roma.

In the “Project Market”, everyone can select someone else’s best practices that fit their community’s needs. The projects will have to be adapted to different contexts, planned in detail with the community and will then be launched. Each partner who wins a project “tender” will have the support of the organization that “sold” that project throughout its implementation in the new community.

Through the project “New solutions to old problems – exchange of new types of approaches in the field of Roma integration” we aim to share at European level successful projects and good practices in the field of Roma inclusion in the fields of education, employment, active participation and combating anti-gypsyism”, the representatives of the Nevo Parudimos Association transmit.

“New solutions to old problems – exchange of new approaches to Roma integration” is funded by the EEA and Norwegian Grants.
