Nevo Parudimos Association implements the “Active Villagers with volunteers” project as a partner for 24 months.

The aim of the project is to involve all individuals living in rural areas (children, youth, adults and the elderly) to become socially and sportingly active. motivated by direct interaction with young volunteers active in the field of sports.

The specific objectives of the project include promoting sports in volunteer groups, organizing coach training activities, developing skills for sports branches within volunteer groups, promoting an active lifestyle in society through sports activities for various target groups, encouraging eight sports branches and outdoor activities in rural areas, promoting a sustainable active lifestyle in local communities with sports activities planned for villages in different periods and seasons, increasing the visibility of the ESC program and increasing the awareness of partner organizations through sports initiatives in rural areas. The project will involve 192 young volunteers from three countries: Turkey, Spain and Romania.

In the context of this initiative targeting certain demographic categories in the chosen localities, we delineate four distinct groups of beneficiaries:

  • Group 1, centered around children which will involve traditional sports
  • Group 2 aimed at young people, with activities focused on volleyball
  • Group 3, which focuses predominantly on adults, especially women, with activities including dance and pilates-yoga
  • Group 4, dedicated to seniors and involving bocce and board games

All these activities will be carried out simultaneously in 4 rural areas in each partner country, to be facilitated by 6 international ESC volunteers, with an internship of 42 days each, as follows: 2 from Spain, 2 from Turkey and 2 from Romania, centralizing a total of 64 volunteers over a period of two years.

The 42-day internships scheduled for 2024 take place in three distinct periods: May 1 – June 15, with the involvement of 6 volunteers, followed by a more extensive involvement of 12 volunteers in July and August, and ending with another group of 6 volunteers in September and October.
