Under the umbrella of CLLD (Community-Led Local Development), an initiative to engage citizens at the local level in actively responding to current social, environmental and economic challenges and a promising tool for investing in Roma inclusion,
These activities of our association are carried out on the basis of a partnership that the Nevo Parudimos Association has with the European network ERGO Network and involve several events aimed in particular at ensuring respect for Roma rights and increasing their participation in decision-making in the community.
As part of this collaboration, the Nevo Parudimos association participated in a series of activities in 2017:
Meeting Roma Forum I Bucharest, May 9-11, 2017, with the theme “Involvement of Roma non-governmental organizations for the preparation of the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Tecuci training for local actors and for the teams of Local Action Groups on the theme of Local Development placed under the responsibility of the community (DLRC) and how we can develop access to funds available through the LEADER program for Roma. The event was organized between November 15-16, 2017.
Meeting Roma Forum II Bucharest, 04-05.12.2017, during which the following aspects were discussed:
- The National Strategy for the Improvement of the Roma Situation. Actions, programming, implementation
- Romania’s Presidency of the European Union – the Roma issue on the social agenda of the European Union
- Situation of the CLLD Program – urban & rural in Romania (2017-2020)
- Civic mobilization and community organization of the Roma – the bottom-up approach
- Funding of Roma organizations – status, sources, blockages and good practices
- Funding opportunities: programs run in Romania
- Roma Versitas program
