Name of the initiative: Roma Included in Social Europe’

Under the auspices of CLLD (Community-led Local Development), an initiative to involve local citizens in actively responding to current social, environmental and economic challenges and a promising tool for investment in Roma inclusion, Nevo Parudimos Association organized in 2021 more activities.
These activities of our association are carried out on the basis of a partnership that the Nevo Parudimos Association has with the European network ERGO Network and involves several events aimed in particular at ensuring respect for Roma rights and increasing their participation in community decision-making.
Within this collaboration, the Nevo Parudimos association organized in 2021 a series of activities:
1. Training course addressed to civil servants from Reșița (from DAS, Patrimoniu and Local Police) involved in activities aimed at the Roma population in the city – training organized in Brebu on 22.10.2021.
This training program was developed by the ERGO network and tested during a training course for the “Voice of Rome, Ashkali and Egyptians” in Kosovo in 2020. It is part of the ERGO Network’s annual work program “Roma Included in Social Europe” (RIISE), funded by the European Commission’s EaSI Program.
During this training, a manual of good training practices in the field of combating anti-gypsum was used for civil society representatives and civil servants, which can be consulted HERE.
2. Opportunities for the development of organizations that promote the observance of DLRC principles in Romania – meeting organized in Timișoara between December 15-16, 2021
The following topics of interest were addressed during this meeting:
- The stage of implementation of DLRC strategies
- Opportunities for the development / financing of initiatives that promote DLRC principles at the local level
- IPA Funds, CERV Program, Norwegian Funds, PNRR, other European funds
- The opportunity to develop a network that promotes DLRC principles in the western part of Romania (Rural, Urban)
- Rural Net – rural development network in Romania
- Good practices and exchange of experience between urban / rural LAGs
- CLLD, cooperation between CJ / Public Authorities and LAGs in programming 2021-2027
- Cooperation between rural and urban in CLLD
3. Roma Forum – promoting youth participation – meeting organized in Timisoara between December 17-18, 2021.
The following topics of interest were addressed during this meeting:
- Opportunities for Roma youth and youth organizations Rome – Erasmus plus programs and the European Solidarity Corps
- National, regional and local policies aimed at young people and their participation ANR
- Opportunities for involvement and participation in international activities of young Roma
- Proposals of young Roma on their needs and interest in increasing participation and involvement
- Opportunities and future projects aimed at developing Roma civil society in Romania
