Project Description

The EUPlayer project aims to enhance the knowledge and sense of belonging of young people (aged 13-20) towards the European Union through an innovative game-based learning approach. The project seeks to combat Euroscepticism and transform participants from EU Players into EU Ambassadors through interactive educational activities.

Goals & Objectives

  • Increase awareness and knowledge about the EU among young people.
  • Implement a game-based learning and gamification approach.
  • Engage youth in local and international educational activities.
  • Transition from analog to digital learning methods to ensure project sustainability.

Main Activities

  • Development of an educational board game about the EU, with 1500 copies produced.
  • Creation of a multilingual manual on game-based learning and gamification.
  • Organization of an international training for educators and youth workers.
  • Implementation of workshops in 1000 classrooms and youth centers using the EU Player board game.
  • Online Hackathon with 50 participants.
  • Summer camp for the 20 best EU Players to become EU Ambassadors.
  • Digitalization of the game and promotion on online platforms.

Expected Outcomes

  • Training of at least 200 educators and youth workers.
  • Engagement of over 10,000 young people across 6 countries.
  • Improved perception of the EU among youth and teachers.
  • Increased EU visibility among young people through social media and digital platforms.
