”VOTE for your future” – this is the call of Nevo Parudimos to young people
The Nevo Parudimos Association will implement this year, between 1st January and 31st August 2019, a major project aimed to increasing the level of involvement and participation of young people in decision-making at local, national and European level.
Starting from this idea, 50 young people from 5 European countries, including Romania, will arrive in summer for 7 days in Caraş-Severin, in the Marabu camp in the village of Milcoveni.
With the desire to reach as many young people as possible, the project will involve several stages. First of all, before the young people arrive in Romania, two focus groups will be organized in which they will learn the problems of their communities and countries, informations that they will present afterwards in the project activities.
Subsequently, there is an effective exchange of young people with the 50 participants from Romania, Estonia, Holland, Greece and Spain.
Finally, a campaign will be organized to promote the participation of young people in the vote, which will be implemented after the mobility of the project itself.
After this project, the participants will be able to later involve other young people in political life, passing on the knowledge gained on the importance of voting at local, national and European level. Participants will also have a better understanding of the European Parliament and its role in Europe, as well as the link between the European Council, the European Commission and the European Parliament.
As far as the participants in Romania are concerned, they will be high school students from Reșița and students of Eftimie Murgu University, young people facing social, economic and cultural obstacles, most of them being ethnics from Republic of Moldova studying at Reșița and Roma teenagers from the Mociur community.
This project is funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus + Program, Key Action 1, Youth Mobility, contract number KA105-592DA910.
